Hot runner cuts scrap but needs upfront cost and care.
High volume and expensive resin make cold-runner scrap costly. Low volume often stays cold.
Rule of thumb
- High volume + pricey resin → hot runner
- Pilot / changing design → cold
- A-side gate critical → tip choice matters
