Cooling channels and cycle time

Even cooling protects dimensions and shortens the cycle.

Cooling dominates most injection cycles. Channel diameter, pitch and layout aim for even cool-down; otherwise warp and dimensional drift rise.

Thick zones and rib roots create hot spots. Baffles, bubblers or conformal approaches are planned when needed; drilled cooling covers many jobs.

Water flow, temperature and clogging risk matter as much as process logs. At T0 we validate cycle with surface temperature and dimensions.

DFM notes cooling access (core / cavity) early; inserts may need independent circuits.

  • Channel size and distance to part
